In many ways, poetry can be as dynamic and impactful as any sport. It offers a powerful platform for individuals to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in ways that resonate deeply with others. As someone who is passionate about football and values the spirit of good sportsmanship, I appreciate how important it is to have a space to showcase one’s talents. Seeing the limited opportunities available for poets to share their art, I was eager to contribute when the opportunity arose to help revive Colombo Poets in 2024. It’s been a rewarding experience to support poets in finding their voices and reconnecting with their audiences.
